Every organism has a multitude of adaptations that enable it to survive in its habitat and fulfill its role in an ecosystem. The specimens in our collections have been selected and prepared to illustrate adaptations to a variety of aspects of an animal's life, such as obtaining and chewing food, locomotion, and moderating the effects of extreme temperatures. Background information for teachers and an extensive set of lessons for use with students are provided with each collection. You may borrow the collection for a two-week period.
