Leave it to the LHS Wizard of Electricity to dispel the "magic" of the unknown and instill an understanding of electricity. The Wizard shows how static electricity can make things stick, float, and spark; and make hair stand on end! With the help of volunteers, a fun stage game illustrates the nature of electric currents and actual methods of generating electricity. Sparks truly fly in the high-voltage finale. Sessions are adapted to audience's grade level(s). For an additional $95, 25-minute sessions for grades K1 may be added to programs at your school.

Topics: Static Electricity, Atoms and Electrons, Electric Current, Energy Sources, Safety, High Voltage

LHS programs are the types of programs advocated in the National Science Education Standards, the Curriculum Standards for School Mathematics, the Science Framework for California Public Schools, the Mathematics Framework for California Public Schools, and the Benchmarks for Science Literacy.
