Be ready for the Academy's new Ants exhibit, in early 2004. This workshop will help you prepare your students for a field trip to Ants. Learn the roles of ants in the ecosystem, how ants communicate, and the amazing diversity of ants. How many species of ants are there in your schoolyard? Workshop participants will learn to identify ants commonly found in the Bay Area and can then participate in a survey of ants of the Bay Area. This workshop introduces educator resource materials on Ants that can be borrowed from the Academy for classroom use.
