Clean watersheds are essential for a healthy environment. Students begin their experience in the Crissy Field Center, where they learn about watersheds and urban water pollution. In the Urban Ecology Lab, students experiment with models to discover what can happen when toxic materials are introduced into a watershed. In the Media Lab, they play an interactive game and discover ways we can protect our water from becoming polluted. After lunch, students venture outside to explore the Tennessee Hollow watershed as they follow the path of a stream approximately one mile through the Presidio to the El Polin Picnic Area.
