Save The Bay is the oldest and largest membership organization working exclusively to celebrate, protect and restore the San Francisco Bay.
Save The Bay wages effective advocacy campaigns to protect the Bay from today's greatest threats - urban sprawl and pollution.
Save The Bay builds strong connections between people and the Bay through hands-on education, restoration and recreation programs.
Canoes In Sloughs: Offers day-long field trips for middle and high-school students on-the-waters of the Bay. Canoes In Sloughs teaches wetland ecology and Bay history while creating strong connections between students and their local part of the Bay.
Community-Based Restoration: Brings people and communities from all over the Bay Area together to restore the Bay's wetlands, creeks and wildlife habitat. Middle and High-School groups participate during the week and community volunteer programs are offered on the weekends.
Discover The Bay: Offers fun, inspiring adventures for Bay Area residents that give people a first hand experience of the Bay and its wetlands, islands and sloughs.
All education programs are led by Save The Bay staff trained in first aid and CPR.
