Resource Area for Teachers (RAFT) provides thousands of Bay Area teachers and community groups with a wide range of interactive learning materials, enhancing math, science, technology and art programs. Materials are surplus items donated by over 1,000 local businesses and range from cardboard tubes to computers! RAFT also provides professional training workshops to use those materials in the school curriculum.
Through our members, RAFT enriches the learning experience of nearly 600,000 children in the Bay Area each year. In addition, over 170,000 cubic feet of reusable material are saved from landfill each year. |
