The San Francisco Bay Bird Observatory is a nonprofit research organization dedicated to the conservation of birds and their habits through science and outreach, and to contributing to informed resource management decisions in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The San Francisco Bay Bird Observatory office is not open to the public. However, it offers regular expert-guided bird walks around the Bay Area and tours of the Coyote Creek Field Station where people can view bird banding demonstrations. Participants will see live birds in the hand, as well as mist nets, and restored riparian habitat areas. Check the website at www.sfbbo.org for the schedule; RSVP's are REQUIRED. E-mail Juliana Chow, jchow@sfbbo.org for more information or to make a reservation.
